Author Guidelines
Everything you need to prepare and submit your manuscript to IJKTR. Please read carefully before submission.
IJKTR welcomes original, high-quality manuscripts that align with our multidisciplinary scope. By submitting, authors confirm that:
- The work is original, has not been published previously, and is not under consideration elsewhere.
- All authors have approved the manuscript and agree with its submission to IJKTR.
- If the manuscript includes any part of previously published work (including figures), appropriate permissions have been obtained.
- The corresponding author is responsible for communicating with the journal and co-authors throughout the review process.
Submission frequency: IJKTR accepts submissions on a rolling basis. There are no deadlines; manuscripts are processed as they are received.
Manuscripts should be prepared in clear, concise English. Use a standard font (e.g., Times New Roman, 12 pt) with double-spacing. All pages must be numbered. The recommended structure for original research articles is:
Required
- Title page (title, authors, affiliations, ORCIDs, contact)
- Abstract (200-250 words, structured: Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion)
- Keywords (4-6 relevant terms)
- Introduction
- Materials and Methods
- Results
Suggested
- Discussion (can be combined with Results)
- Conclusion
- Acknowledgements
- References (AMA or APA style, consistent)
- Tables & Figures (with captions)
- Supplementary Material
Review papers and case studies may follow a flexible structure but must include an abstract, keywords, and references.
- Main manuscript: Microsoft Word (.doc, .docx) or LaTeX (PDF with source).
- Figures: High-resolution (300 dpi) TIFF, JPEG, or PNG. Combine in a single file if possible.
- Tables: Editable format (Word or Excel).
- Supplementary materials: ZIP archive if multiple files.
- Maximum file size: 10 MB per file (contact editor for larger files).
Pro tip: Ensure all fonts are embedded, and figures are legible when printed in black and white.
IJKTR takes academic integrity very seriously. All submissions are screened for plagiarism using industry-standard software (iThenticate / Turnitin).
- Acceptable similarity: Maximum 15% excluding references and small phrases.
- High similarity: Manuscripts exceeding 25% similarity may be rejected without review.
- Severe plagiarism: Cases of text recycling, duplication, or improper citation will result in rejection and possible notification of authors' institutions.
Authors must ensure that all sources are properly cited. Quoted text should be in quotation marks and attributed.
Research involving human participants, animals, or sensitive data must adhere to ethical standards:
- Human subjects: Include a statement that informed consent was obtained and the study was approved by an institutional ethics committee.
- Animal studies: Follow ARRIVE guidelines and state institutional approval.
- Conflicts of interest: All authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence the work.
- Data availability: Encourage authors to share data in public repositories or include data availability statements.
For clinical trials, registration in a public trials registry is required (e.g., ClinicalTrials.gov, CTRI).
IJKTR follows a double-blind peer review process. The typical timeline from submission to first decision is 3-5 weeks.
- Initial check: Editorial office verifies compliance with guidelines and plagiarism screen.
- Assigning reviewers: At least two independent expert reviewers are invited.
- Review reports: Reviewers evaluate originality, methodology, clarity, and significance.
- Editorial decision: Based on reviews, the editor decides: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject.
- Revision: Authors are given time to revise and submit a point-by-point response.
- Final decision: After re-review (if needed), the final decision is communicated.
Average time: Submission to first decision: 25 days; from acceptance to online publication: 10 days.
